President Donald Trump and First Lady infected with coronavirus

President Donald Trump

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have been infected with the dreaded Coronavirus, he admitted on social media today.

“Tonight, @FLOTUS (First Lady Melania) and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” Trump tweeted around midnight. Reportedly, he is showing mild symptoms of illness.  Two hours prior, he tweeted, “Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!”

Vice President Mike Pence and his wife have tested negative, reportedly.  He was in Iowa Thursday.

In the United States, the virus has claimed 207, 818 lives thus far.

Joe Biden

Trump’s positive test throws the campaign and the nation for yet another curve.  If Trump is quarantined, he will find it difficult to campaign as polls show his campaign sinking lower and lower versus his opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, as Americans flock in groves to cast votes.  Just this morning, Biden tweeted, “Jill and I send our thoughts to President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for a swift recovery. We will continue to pray for the health and safety of the president and his family.”
