MASON CITY – Mason City police investigating “loud booms” conducted search warrant and arrested a man for possession of offensive weapons.
This morning the Mason City Police Department conducted a search warrant at a residence in Mason City. The search warrant was a result of an on-going investigation relating to the loud booms that have been heard throughout Mason City.
Doran Maklenburg, age 47, Mason City, was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Unauthorized Possession of an Offensive Weapon a Class D Felony. He quickly bonded out of the county jail.
The investigation into the loud booms is on-going. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Mason City Police Department.
