MASON CITY – The hapless roach trap known as the Beje Clark halfway house in Mason City landed a sex offender in its ranks to pace the town’s streets and now police say the convict committed multiple serious crimes such as soliciting prostitution, harassment, drug possession and indecent exposure.
A Mason City police spokesman tells NIT that 23-year-old Pierce Lensing “was charged on September 7, 2020, with a sex offender registry violation, following failure to re-register following a change of employment status on August 19, 2020, during the time that he was living at the BeJe Clark Residential Facility.” The spokesman says that on September 4, 2020, “Lensing had sent a text message, including pornographic images and video, to a local resident soliciting sex for payment. During the investigation, Lensing was found to be in possession of a controlled substance at BeJe Clark, a correctional facility. He is currently in jail on these charges.”
Lensing is a convicted sex offender who committed the of dissemination or obscene material two years ago in Fayette county; his victim was a female 17 years of age or younger. His current list of new charges include: Harassment, indecent exposure, soliciting prostitution, sex offender registration violation and possession of drug paraphernalia in a correctional institution, along with three probation violations.
