MASON CITY – The Mason City Police Department is investigating two weekend shooting incidents.
The first shooting incident occurred in the 10 block of 3rd Street NW at approximately 3:10 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2020, and was reported on 911. In this incident, a male approached three people in the alley prior to the shooting. Shots were fired by the male as the other fled. No one was injured and police say they have not found any property damage as a result of the shooting.
The second shooting occurred on 3:59 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2020, in the 900-1000 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue. In this incident, two vehicles were traveling north on Pennsylvania and exchanging gunfire. Several residents in the area reported seeing the incident, although neither party has yet contacted police. No one was injured and again, no property has been reported as damaged.
Officers did recover evidence from both scenes. At this time, police say they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community in either incident. Both incidents remain under investigation.

Instead I choose to live in iowa but commute to minnesota where I don’t read these stories weekly. Instead my money goes to another state, all because of the pitfalls and undesirables concentrated into one rotten little community. Maybe instead of building hotels and event centers we could have built vocational centers and youth centers, started out reach programs and done our best to assimilate the youth of the African american community to life in a society, not a ghetto.

Mason City never seemed to have any really bad trouble until the coloreds came in. NIACC brought them in for sports, and they were too lazy and drugged up to move on, so they stayed here and destroyed our town. Look around. You can tell the neighborhoods they live in by the shoddiness of the area. Why do you think the city doesn’t give out welfare statistics by race? They don’t want us to know the majority of charity cases in town are coloreds.

There is an ongoing threat. Every time these thugs shoot at each other there’s a possibility that a stray bullet will hit someone that’s not involved. With all the gunfire in this town, I’m surprised that no-one has been hit.
