Thornton man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor

SHEFFIELD – A Thornton man has been arrested and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.

On September 9th 2020, at approximately 8:37 PM, the Sheffield Police Department arrested 21-year-old Jayden Engebretson of Thornton, Iowa on a Franklin County warrant. Engebretson is being held in the Franklin County Jail facility in Hampton, Iowa and being charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor which carries the penalty of an Aggravated Misdemeanor and may be punishable by up to two years in prison and a fine from $625.00 to $6,250.00. The defendant will be categorized as a tier 1 sex offender and required to register annually with the state of Iowa for a period of 15 years if convicted of the crime.

Sheffield police say the investigation is still on going at this time.

So what’s the situation hes 21 shes 17? Not exactly a child molester. If the other party is like 15 I see where the line is being crossed but your ordering castration four a person in which you dont know the situation.
