CHARLES CITY – A Colorado man was arrested this weekend in Charles City after cops investigated an incident at a convenience store.
On Saturday, September 5 after 2 AM, Charles City police were summoned to Kwik Star convenience store on Gilbert Street for a possible drunk driver there. A suspect vehicle was soon located in the 300 block of North Jackson Street, where police encountered what appeared to be a possible fight in progress. Police separated the participants. As a result of the incident and investigation, police arrested 37-year-old Salvador Reyes of Grand Junction, Colorado on a charge of first-offense public intoxication. Police say more charges are pending.
Reyes was jailed and soon released on a promise to appear.
