Iowa’s Attorney General demands Facebook work harder to stop “spread hate and disinformation”

Tom Miller, Iowa Attorney General

DES MOINES – Some user of Facebook nave noticed that the hate and disinformation is thick, and now Iowa’s Attorney General and his peers in other states are demanding that  Facebook work harder to stop “spread hate and disinformation”

We’re joining 19 AGs in calling on Facebook to take additional steps to prevent the site from being used to spread hate and disinformation. We urge Facebook to provide stronger support for users who fall victim to online intimidation and harassment on its platforms.
The letter to Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg and Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg states that “[p]rivate parties, organized groups and public officials continue to use Facebook to spread misinformation and project messages of hate against different groups of Americans,” with many of those messages leading to the abuse of individual Facebook users.
The letter follows the release of a Civil Rights Audit of Facebook’s practices — commissioned by the company and completed in July — that faults Facebook for failing to advance civil rights, and refusing to enforce its own policies against dangerous organizations and individuals, including white supremacists and other extremists.

A fact is information minus emotion.

An opinion is information plus experience.

Ignorance is an opinion lacking information.

And, stupidity is an opinion that ignores a fact.

Facts don’t care about your feelings.

Hate will be out there, overt or hidden in peoples minds and in their actions. The more the blacks complain about how people act and talk in public, the more they ingrain that hatred in white people who feel that the blacks are trying to rule their lives. Just because you don’t see and hear it, doesn’t mean it’s not out there.

Disinformation???…Basically everything written about George Floyd falls into that category. Putting him on some kind of a heroic pedestal is based entirely on dishonest, race-hustling stupidity.

Stay tuned and pay attention to what comes out at Chauvin’s trial.

Who determines what is hate and disinformation? Whatever happened to free speech and personal opinion?

Hmmm do I hear Adolf Anonymous talking again?

Hmmmm do I hear the sound of ignorance? ASSuming something?

That right there is P.C. Bullshit.

So will he delete nit next

I bet the Board at Facebook has been infiltrated by BLM and ANTIFA. Once they have taken over Facebook, everything else will be easy.

One person’s “hate and disinformation” is another persons truth and first amendment right to free speech. Just because you don’t like what someone says doesn’t mean it’s wrong. I have always wondered why it’s all right to say “black lives matter” and be trashed for saying “all lives matter”. Both statements are true. Both statements are protected by free speech. But yet for one you are praised and the other you are vilified. Our country is no longer free. We do all we can to placate the coloreds and chip away at our freedoms at the same time.

The problem with free speech is that it works both ways. Colin Kaepernick has the same freedom as you do. So does Alex Jones. So do I. The problem with black lives matter/all lives matter comes with it’s intent. When someone says “Black lives matter” and you respond immediately with “All lives matter”, you unintentionally (maybe intentionally) say that the first statement is false. But, it isn’t false, it says that in a country where all lives matter, black lives SHOULD matter too. Sometimes they it seems they don’t matter because the same things keep happening.

Nothing you said, in any way, refuted what I said in my post. Intent is subjective. Objectivity, looking at the facts, throws everything you say right into the wind.

So, we agree that “All Lives Matter” is true, and obviously, all encompassing. That means, when you change the first word to “Black” (or any other specific race) then you have inserted racism. Therefore, BLM is racist right out of the gate, and that’s what 99% of people objecting to it are opposed to from the get-go.

It’s pretty simple, and it’s pretty stupid at the same time.

You missed the point. Yes, ‘all lives matter’ is true, but in a country where this is supposed to be the norm, it is evident by certain actions against Blacks that it isn’t true all the time. The definition of racist “a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another.”, doesn’t fit with your desire to say Black lives matter. All the followers of BLM are saying is that Black lives are important and shouldn’t be treated as if they weren’t. That is not racism. What is racist, and ignorant, is saying what is happening to Black people in this country is not important.

But…NOBODY ever says that. Nobody EVER says that what happens to ANYBODY is unimportant.

BLM is based on false premises.

You don’t get out much, do you?
