Gov. Reynolds directs $490 million of CARES Funds into Unemployment Trust Fund

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds

DES MOINES – This week, Gov. Kim Reynolds announced she has directed $490 million of the $1.25 billion in Coronavirus relief funds Iowa was provided through the CARES Act, to be deposited into Iowa’s Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund.  The deposit will ensure that eligible Iowans continue to receive unemployment insurance benefits, and will also enable Iowa employers to remain in Tax Table 7 for 2021.

“As we move forward with recovery, I want to minimize the pandemic’s impact on employers so they can focus on growing and reinvesting in Iowa,” said Gov. Reynolds. “Iowa’s employers continue to do an outstanding job during these unprecedented times and today’s action will provide them greater certainty. This move also ensures that our trust fund remains healthy and in a position to weather any storm, including COVID-19.”

“From the beginning of the pandemic, Iowa has not been charging employers with claims made by laid off employees to ensure employers would not see their tax rates go up because of these claims,” Iowa Workforce Development Director Beth Townsend added “Keeping employers in Tax Table 7, saves them over $400 million in unemployment taxes.”

This will reset the economy back thirty years. Depending how you choose to look at it. The coming winter could be like a pacman gone wild! With the `rona that is. By and large politicians are like sponges. And Ms. Pelosi is `ole battleaxe incarnate. Governor Reynolds is most likely doing the best she can with what at hand. Ask yourself. Where were you 30 years ago. Money wise.

In Hebrew Baby Names the meaning of the name Ronia is: Song of joy.

” The coming winter could be like a pacman gone wild! With the `rona(Song of Joy) that is.”

So, this winter could be like pacman gone wild! With the Song of Joy that is.
You are a twisted individual.
“By and large politicians are like sponges.” Replace “like sponges” with “the scourge of the planet”.
Nasty Nancy is not Ms. Pelosi, she is Mrs.

Only one picture of the Gov?

Yeah he’s a funny little blogger like that. He blogs photos of people that he doesn’t like in the most unflattering way possible. John Skipper wouldn’t do that. The great journalists don’t play like that.

Now I’m sure you see what opening up early has done in other states. Instead of waiting till mid-July as a general rule of thumb. Coronie is first. Economy is second. You did it backwards placing the economy first. Now this fall will be very bad for America. And if Iowa opens up schools in the fall this will be the by far the most grievous error made to date. Much wealth across the board will be lost in August. This by the way will knock the legs out from under those greedy…Losers!

Thank you Doctor.

Opinions vary, so what’s intelligent your answer to the problem?

Coronie is a term that is typically used to describe a fellow worker of the same yard/report location that drives a bus.

Or did your big brain mean

Coronie is a district of Suriname, situated on the coast. Coronie’s capital city is Totness.

Please let us know which is first, in front of ” Economy is second. You did it backwards placing the economy first. “
