MASON CITY – The Mason City police department says it has not given up on the Jodi Huisentruit case.

Police Chief Jeff Brinkley said Saturday morning:

Mason City Police Chief Jeff Brinkley

Today marks the 25th anniversary of Jodi Huisentruit’s disappearance in Mason City. We pause today to stand with Jodi’s family as they remember her and remain hopeful for answers about her disappearance.

The investigation into her disappearance continues and is an active case being worked by the Mason City Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. We appreciate the work the media has done to keep Jodi’s story in the public eye in support of our investigative efforts.

If you are someone who has information about Jodi’s disappearance or information that would be useful to the case investigation, please reach out to MCPD or the DCI. We realize that circumstances have changed in the past 25 years that may have impacted your decision to not come forward sooner. We would ask that you consider doing so in order to provide some closure and answers for Jodi and her family.

If you have information about Jodi’s disappearance, please contact the Mason City Police Department (641-494-3564) or the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (dciinfo@dps.state.ua.us or 515-725-6010). Information about the case can also be provided to law enforcement through the North Iowa CrimeStoppers.

After 25 years, does anyone really care anymore? To dwell on something that far in the past, some people must really need to get a life.

Judging by the number of people responding here and on other sites about the case, yes, there are people who care. I am sure the family cares too and would like to see this tragedy ended. It is called compassion something you obviously lack.

The kidnapper must be located and Jodi brought home safe!

Mason City Police can’t solve anything much less something this old. If they had anything they would file charges, but they don’t so they won’t. They know who killed her but they can’t prove it.

why do you contradict yourself in this comment, ” If they had anything they would file charges, but they don’t so they won’t. —— They know who killed her but they can’t prove it” So just what exactly do you know?

I AGREE

Tragedy in River City. Could have been an inside job, who else could have done it.

Jodi was the best newscaster KMIT ever had. Deep reporting. Savvy journalist. Someone was out for her. Please, please, if you know something, call Mason police right away.

when you call tell them to peek under the shed

Jodi we pray for you and your eventual safe return. God bless <3 <3 <3
