Mason City woman gets suspended prison sentence and fine for second-offense drunk driving

MASON CITY – A Mason City woman who was arrested for drunk driving after citizens complained to law enforcement about her operation of her motor vehicle  has been given a suspended prison sentence, a fine and a week in jail.

Kristy Gaye Arzberger, age 60, was stopped on June 15, 2019 at about 7:05 PM in the area of 340th and Vine Avenue in Cerro Gordo county. According to Sheriff Kevin Pals, “a citizen called in a complaint on her driving.”

Arzberger was arrested on a charge of second-offense operating while intoxicated and taken to jail. She later posted a $2,000 cash bond and was released.

In December, Arzberger’s attorney entered a guilty plea in the case.  She pled guilty to second-offense operating while intoxicated, an aggravated misdemeanor.  Arzberger was sentenced to a suspended two-year prison term, 7 days in jail and $2,641.25 in fines and court fees.

She is a nasty, ugly, drunk. She must be all around miserable in life to behave the way she does. It’s not about being a good lawyer. People hire her because she is willing to lie and be a nasty unethical person. There are a lot of good lawyers that don’t need to be nasty people. That can conduct themselves in a way that is respected. Anyone who hires Kristy is paying for a lawyer that is scum and that’s what they want. Go ahead and lie if it wins the case. If her clients had to be honest, I bet everyone of them was told by Kristy to lie or something equally unethical. I wish that every person that defends her had to tell the whole truth. How embarrassing for her family and associates. Not friends. Kristys “ friends” talk about what a drunk she is behind her back too. As they sit back and let her get in her car and drive knowing she has had way to much to be safe.

It’s too bad karma didn’t work on her. She has done more damage to people then could possibly come back to her. She’s got money and lives comfortably. She has her family. It doesn’t matter how rotten and dirty she has been and the consequences of her actions took on other people’s lives. She barely gets a slap on the wrist when she violates the law. Her license to practice is still good even though she has been found to violate the rules of the board that issues it. She gets publicly reprimanded and nobody notices. And people still pay her to be their lawyer. Maybe if the violations were truly made clear to the public people would think before hiring her about what a dirty human being she is. Of course that doesn’t stop those who think it’s ok to hire human scum to cause harm as long as they win. Hateful people who want to make sure they hurt someone else. She asked for that reputation and has made a lot of money being that lawyer. I hope karma gets every single person who ever pays her money to be dirty and harm the lives of others. I hope there is a time and place all the unnecessary pain she has inflicted is brought back on her. Like in hell. I wish I knew for sure she would be going to hell for the life she has lived. I promise you she deserves it.

But she is and always has been very unfortunate in the looks department. Ugly! Lol. And I am told her dad was a very nasty man. Might be some disturbing secrets in her past. But he’s dead and she is still doing really horrible things to people she has no right to hurt like she tries very hard to.

Drunk slob!!!

She got a fine & 7 days in jail

Arzberger was sentenced to a suspended two-year prison term, 7 days in jail and $2,641.25 in fines and court fees.

Why would a judge give her a suspended sentence and no fine or jail time?? Must because she is an attorney. the judge should be fired!! an am not so sure this is her 3rd OWI???

7 days is NORMAL. Your trying to make a mountain from a mole hill.
Usual is 1st-2 days, 2nd-7 days, then some time(3rd varies widely)up to 5 years.

She also got a fine of $2,641.25.

Suspended sentence for a 2nd OWI? Who was the judge?

After all of the lives that she’s ruined, it was only a matter of time before karma caught up with her. Pay your debt lady!!!

I wouldn’t be ashamed about it.

Not until she kills somebody in your family!
