President Trump extends social distancing recommendation until April 30

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump on Sunday held a press conference and extended the current social distancing recommendation until April 30, but this could pushed all the way through May as the Covid-19 illness caused by the coronavirus plagues the world.

The President, facing the grim reality that Covid-19 is taking a climbing death toll, said “If we can hold that number down … to 100,000, it’s a horrible number, maybe even less – we all, all together have done a very good job.” The number could climb higher than 200,000, some experts have said, and much higher if drastic measures are not implemented. The death peak in America may be reached by the end of April, it was said in the press conference.

Social distancing means closing businesses and keeping them closed for weeks if not months, no gatherings larger than 10 people, closing parks, and staying home. Only essential businesses like grocery stores and Hobby Lobby can remain open in many parts of the country.  Each state has been allowed to create their own rules and regulations.  Leaders is some states are pointing the finger at other states with big outbreaks or lax social distancing rules.

The consensus in America at this time is, this pandemic will get worse before is gets better.
