Colorado man who threw water on U.S. Rep. Steve King sentenced to two years probation

SIOUX CITY – A Colorado man who pled guilty on September 23, 2019, in United States District Court in Sioux City after he threw water on Congressman Steve King has been sentenced to probation.

Blake Gibbins, 27, from Lafayette, Colorado, pled guilty to one count of assaulting a member of congress. At his guilty plea hearing, and in a plea agreement, Gibbins admitted that on March 22, 2019, at the Mineral City Mill & Grill in Fort Dodge, Iowa, he approached a table where U.S. Congressman Steve King and others were seated and assaulted Congressman King by intentionally throwing a cup of water on him.

Gibbons faced a possible maximum sentence of not more than one year imprisonment, a $100,000 fine, and up to 5 years’ probation. However, he was given 2 years of probation and 200 hours of community service.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Timothy T. Duax and was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Fort Dodge Police Department, and the United States Capitol Police.

A lot of people seem to hate Steve King. Steve King gets elected, over and over, because the quieter people that vote for Steve King aren’t baby-fat-pansies who bitch about everything and anything all the time.

He should have thrown acid on that asshole, racist no good SOB!

Like him or not, nobody has the right to assault anyone. One year in prison, $100,000 fine, instead of a slap on the hand.

$100,000 fine? That is ridiculous.

1 million dollars

ASSAULT??? By throwing water??? That is what is wrong with our judicial system! STUPID!!!

If you’re an adult and not a petty scrum bag you don’t actually press charges for someone throwing water on you. Rich people are outstandingly stupid. Mr king has no CLUE what assault IS. HE could stand to be taught all about the real deal. Water isn’t a weapon whiny b*tch! A hammer? Now that’s a weapon.

Assault does not necessarily involve a physical attack. Assault is any action that causes the other person to fear bodily harm. It can be a slap, a punch or a shove, but it can also be a verbal threat of violence, aggressive posturing (a raised fist, jabbing a finger) or yelling angrily in someone’s face.

From the state of IOWA.

WATER was throwing on him! OH NO! My shirt got wet! What a bunch of shit!

Take a look around yourself right now. Not much, eh? You couldn’t carry Steve King’s luggage, whether you understand politics or not.

And if someone had passed gas toward the liberal POS, he would have screamed assault or rape or accused them of being a pedophile.
If you let them get away with water, the next step is urine, it’s only a form of water. Heavily polluted water, it’s only water.
You can’t even yell at the little bastards, might hurt their feelings, so you’re assaulting them. Well, he threw water, not words, don’t give him a chance to escalate to something worse.

geez calm down

The sky assaulted me once.

That is hilarious. Good One!!

He should have stood up and knocked him through a wall. Chickenshit little liberal asshole.

That’s not a terrible idea.

Since King isn’t a liberal, he would have been in prison.

Too bad it wasn’t gasoline.

Good one.

Offer him a cigar.

Good one.

Good thing he didn’t throw water onto Nancy Pelosi, she would have burst into flames.

Good one.

Thought she would of melted
