IOWA CITY – Former Mason City Mohawk Makenzie Meyer’s 24 points helped lead Iowa past Minnesota, 90-82, Thursday night.
The Hawkeyes (23-5, 14-3) have won 36 consecutive home games, ranking second in the country behind Baylor (54).
Senior Kathleen Doyle scored nine points in the first half, marking her 1,500th career points.
Five Hawkeyes scored in double figures, including senior Makenzie Meyer (24), sophomore Monika Czinano (24), senior Kathleen Doyle (16), junior Alexis Sevillian (11), and freshman McKenna Warnock (11).
Warnock scored a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, and Meyer netted a career-high six 3-pointers.
Iowa heads to Piscataway, N.J. to take on Rutgers in the Hawkeyes last regular-season matchup on Sunday in Rutgers Athletic Center. Tip-off is set for 11 a.m. (CT), and the game will air live on BTN.
