GRAETTINGER, IOWA – On February 24, 2020 at 7:44 am, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault at 508 S Washington Ave, Graettinger.
After investigating the incident, Daniel W. Dunbar age 38 of Graettinger was arrested for two counts of assault. Count one is Aggravated Assault, and Count two is a Serious Assault for causing bodily injury.
Dunbar was transported to the Palo Alto County Jail awaiting intial appearance before a judge.
Due to the nature of the 911 call received at the Palo Alto County Communication Center assisting was requested. Responding to the scene were the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office, Emmet County Conservation Office, and Estherville Police Department, Iowa State Patrol and Graettinger Ambulance.
