CEDAR FALLS – The UNI men’s basketball team were hard at work on Thursday night, serving the UNI faithful at The Other Place on University to help raise money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Cedar Valley at the annual ‘Tip a Panther Night’.
The Panthers helped prepare food, served drinks and took orders from 5:30 p.m. to 7 pm on Thursday, a service the team is proud to be involved in to help raise money for a worthy cause. The coaching staff stresses giving back to the community and feel the Tip a Panther Night is a great way to raise money for a great organization and connect with the Panthers fans.
The team was able to raise $1,750 from their efforts on Thursday night and plan to continue to the event. The men’s basketball team will be on the road this weekend, taking on the Ramblers of Loyola. The Panthers will be back in the McLeod Center on Feb 23 when they host the Southern Illinois Salukis.
