Peter Children Opinion: Trump showing his “Insidious” character

Insidious is one of those words that fit in so many quarters. I guess a “catch-all” could be substituted in a lot of situations.

It’s not a description most of us would appreciate for it’s not meant to be complementary…far from it. I can illustrate with a couple recent acts that received widespread media attention.

Example #1, when Trump fired those who testified against him in impeachment hearings earlier in the year it was definitely an insidious act. It was clearly indicative and most certainly done for retribution for former testimonies against Trump. It was cowardly and it was insidious… but not illegal. But it could fall under “abuse of office.” The list chronicling this behavior is endless, without end. Now there is talk about the current front runner of the Democratic Party which happens to be Bernie Sanders. They say he is too old and physically impaired due to a heart attack which happened not that long ago. Isn’t that why we have “Vice Presidents?” It was under those circumstances that brought Harry Truman into office and today he is definitely considered one of our greatest presidents. He dropped the atomic bombs on Japan which ended WWII. He also was responsible for the creation of Israel in 1948.

What is currently taking place against Senator Romney is beyond insidious, it’s immoral. There is no excuse to ridicule a person for bowing to their core belief in God. This country’s very foundations were built on religious freedoms. Remember the pilgrims… do you think they came here just to camp out… ? Some of those who support Trump in my community are of the strongest moral fiber, they would be the first to open their door to you if you needed help. I have no doubt of that. I was fortunate to have had the privilege of growing up in the Midwest, the breadbasket of the world. I am proud to to have stood witness to unbridled tolerance and unparalleled generosity and kindness to our neighbors and strangers alike.

Be sure to vote, vote for whenever you wish, your vote is the fuel that fires the engines of democracy that makes America the greatest place in earth. I encourage you to be a part of it.
