Guards should be trained to protect themselves if necessary. The prison should be arranged to make it very difficult for them to be assaulted. Sounds like a management problem.

to much of this lately, need to put 10 yr with no parole prison sentences for doing this. May curtail some of it

Hey, Mr./Mrs./Ms. Brilliance, They are in PRISON for NOT OBEYING the law. Sure, another law will do it.

Children, thinking like this is why you shouldn’t grow up as a liberal.

If officer is so unprofessionally careless as to get that close to an inmate without being aware of the danger and so untrained as to be taken by surprise, I sincerely question the caliber of people they hire and/or the training they receive (or don’t receive) that I wonder if an internal investigation is warranted.

A guard stands and guards. He doesn’t move when someone walks by him. Inmates are probably close enough to throw a punch all day long. You think you know better, go apply for a job.

Apply for a job at Anamosa? I’d go on welfare before I’d stoop that low. Plus, I think that one of the requirements for that job is your knuckles dragging on the ground when you walk. Hey, sounds like it’s right up your alley.

Oh yes. Blame the victim. Focus, you idiot.

Luckily for him welfare might not be all free…they may make them work, then he can be a guard

Nine out of ten times the victim is to blame. Situational awareness and common sense go a long way in protecting oneself. Women do the dumbest things and then whine when they get assaulted or raped. Don’t leave yourself open and you won’t be a victim. Before you blame the rapist, do a situational awareness evaluation.

Go soak your head, idiot.

Try responding with facts or solid information instead of showing your ignorance. If you can’t discuss something or comment intelligently, perhaps you shouldn’t post.

Try discussing intelligently? And you say it is almost always the victim’s fault? If that is so, why is it against the law? The way you think, the victim should be charged.

Common sense goes a long way to preventing crime from happening. If you leave yourself open to be a victim, you probably will be. If you can’t understand that, I feel sorry for you.
