MASON CITY – A Mason City Alternative School teacher was arrested for felony drunk driving early Wednesday morning.
Janell Amy Drumheller, age 46, was arrested following a collision at 6th Street and South Polk Place at 1:43 AM on November 20, 2019. According to a Mason City police spokesman, Drumheller hit a parked vehicle and reported the collision to dispatch. There were no injuries. Based on the observations by officers at the scene, they began an investigation for operating while intoxicated. Based on that investigation, Drumheller was arrested for felony OWI 3rd Offense. She was also charged with failure to maintain control for the crash.
Drumheller was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail for processing and booking. She was soon released with supervision.
Drumheller is listed as a teacher for the Mason City Alternative School. She served time in jail in 2011 for second offense operating while intoxicated.
But the city is still employing police that are collecting taxpayers money that were the main people involved with Jodi. Wake up people. Cops in this town are being paid off by drug dealers and collecting big money for allowing them.. if they wanted the dope off the streets it would’ve been off long ago. Police are the criminals. If a cop don’t know what they are about before hired he finds out shortly after hired. If one remains a police officer after that, one sick. Girlie man of a person to steal, lie , do what ever to take a person down, lie to school kids. A cop can an will lie , to have u get there trust. To disarm a man an then hide behind guns an badges is the biggest sissy thing a person can do. 2 yrs an pretty much u got total control over anything. Govt set it up like this. ….. the real criminals are the police , judges an lawyers. Look up bars association corruption

She is a great one to teach problem children. She can teach them how to be drunks. We pay a lot of money to have teachers like this programming our children.
Tax payers might pay a lot of money for the programs but I am not sure teachers make a lot of money. Maybe if they did, there would be better quality teachers.
The crooked Mason City school system, administrators, teachers and employees just ripped off millions for themselves… so yeah they are getting paid just fine.
she has a alcohol problem, a big problem. wonder how many times she showed at school partiallt drunk. whats a teacher doing out at 1:43 in the morning, drunk??? should be at home in bed (alone) at that time of the morning. school board should look into this
The school has nothing to say about what teachers do on their time off or late at night…. unless it’s criminal, so if she’s convicted I Hope they discharge her and find a better suitable replacement, preferably one without a ongoing criminal record or crooked. But that seems hard for the mason city school system to pull off. Seems they are all crooks in that system.
