Iowa teens charged with felonies after shooting paint ball gun at woman, causing serious injury

DAVENPORT – Two Iowa teens have been charged with felonies after shooting a paint ball gun at a woman, causing a serious injury to her eye.

On Friday, November 2, 2019, at approximately 11:58 PM officers with the Davenport police department responded to the area of Middle Road and Jersey Ridge Road to a report of a woman struck in the face by a paintball, after reports of subjects firing paintball guns from a vehicle. Suspect vehicle was described as a Dark SUV, possibly a Jeep, occupied by 4-5 males shooting paintball guns. The adult woman hit in the face was hospitalized and treated for a serious eye injury.

This week, police announced that as a result of an investigation conducted by detectives, two male juveniles were identified and charged for this incident. Both juvenile suspects, both 16 years of age, were arrested and charged with Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, a Class C Felony, and Willful Injury with Bodily Injury, a Class D Felony. Both were turned over to the Scott County Jail.
