Two people held at gunpoint during Albert Lea home invasion

ALBERT LEA, MN — Two people were held at gunpoint during an Albert Lea home invasion.

Police in Albert Lea say that around 3:00 AM on November 6, 2019, officers from the Albert Lea Police Department were dispatched to the area of 101 8 Ave N for a report of a home invasion/robbery. Upon officer arrival on scene, two victims reported that while asleep, they were awoken by two suspects in their bedroom, one of the suspects was armed with a handgun.

The victims indicated that they were pulled from their bed and physically assaulted. The suspects demanding money and ended up with an undisclosed amount of cash. Both suspects fled the scene on foot. Officers did note that there was forced entry into the home.

Suspects were described as follows:

Suspect 1
– Male
– Around 5’6″ tall
– Heavy set (Approx. 300 Ibs)
– Lighter Skin
– Possibly hispanic
– Face was covered with mask

Suspect 2
– Male
– Around 6′ tall
– Face was covered with mask
