People always wonder how Hitler managed to get into power: “How could the Germans vote for him, how could they let that happen.”
Those are the words of people who have never been hungry. Those are the words of people who’ve never had to worry about passing a winter in the street with children you can’t feed.
The words of smiling middle class worker bees who believed Obama when he preached “Hope” and “Change.” Meanwhile he was cashing his Wall Street pay checks faster than you can say “Our first African American President!”
You’d be surprised the things people will do when their desperate. You’d be surprised the things people will believe when they’re freezing to death. It’ll be an interesting little experiment to see how fast suburbanites can go from being tolerant to hating people of color and the LGBTQ community when all the grocery stores are boarded up.
We’re nowhere near the level of desperation the German people were at during the rise of Hitler; and we still ended up with Trump.
Just you wait. Just you wait til the real economic collapse that’s coming in the next few years hits. It’ll make the Great Recession look like too long a night at the local dive bar. “Drinks are on the taxpayers Mr. Merrill Lynch!”
Remember that student loan bubble? Who the fucks paying that tab? “Were looking at you 30-year-old millennials working at Applebees!” You guys noticing anything strange in this “boom economy?”
How about all the shopping malls and retail outlets closing out. Maybe a little worrisome that the majority of young people are working as “freelancers” huh? How about that fact that CEO pay has skyrocketed over the last three decades while wages have flatlined? All I’m saying is I ain’t heard one mother fucker my age say nothing about owning a house.
Oh.
And just you wait til the climate crisis causes ecological collapse and mass migration towards the northern hemisphere. That’ll be the real kicker boys and girls. Who would’ve thought World War III would be over water and arable water instead of fossil fuels and tech minerals?
I won’t be surprised to see the same people who are crying over Trump now, foaming at the mouth; begging a mad man to dissolve democracy in exchange for work and shelter.

Let’s wait and see. Like you’ve been waiting to see for the last thirty years.
Let’s play the “its the status quo game.” Let’s sing the: “elect corporate democrats who say pretty things about minorities song.” Let’s keep the feel-good train rolling just a little while longer.

CLIMATE CHANGE IS A HOAX. Anyone who believes other wise is a fool. The climate has always changed and always will. There is nothing we can do about the tilt of the earth bringing another ice age. By the way, 20 years ago they were screaming the world would end in 10 years through global warming and yet here we are. You fools are being played by the crooks making money off their lies.

You mean the CO2 that we exhale every time we breath in oxygen? This CO2 that we exhale and the CO2 is absorbed by all trees and plants to grow. If there was no CO2 we would have no grass, corn, beans or any other plant. CO2 is very useful and essential for ALL life to exist.
All this plant live is also what creates the fresh oxygen that we breath.
you really do not understand the carbon cycle. Stop listening to conservative talk radio and take a few science classes at your local community college. We are extracting carbon rich fuels that store BILLIONS of years worth of carbon and then burning them and sending the waste back into our atmosphere. We’re undoing a cycle that took mother nature billions of years to accomplish by our fossil fuel use. Mankind is UNQUESTIONABLY changing the climate from our use of fossil fuels.

The climate always changes, we used to be under a glacier here in Mason City. That was before any factories were pumping emissions in the air and before cars, so how did that all melt away? Climate change, not man made. In the 1970’s, this same media said if we don’t do anything, we are headed to a new Ice Age. We can’t create weather and we can’t change weather. It will do what weather does, it will change
The difference is the glacier melted because of natural processes over the course of tens of thousands of years. Our current situation is caused by mankinds use of fossil fuels and has changed the climate over the course of about 70 years. Stop listening to conservative talk radio and actually take a few college level science courses bozo.
70,000 years ago the ocean was 57 feet higher and it changed. Now the cycle say it is going up again. Nothing we can do will stop it. It is call axis tilt.

John, nice try, but you have no meaningful science background. The billions of tons of CO2 we pump into the atmosphere has unquestionably altered our climate. If you had common sense, you could put 2 + 2 together: A rapid increase in global temperature has occurred over the last 70 years. Mankind has a proliferate use of fossil fuels (carbon rich fuels which contain billions of years of carbon accumulations) over this same time period. CO2 is a known greenhouse gas. Seeing any sort of pattern here John???? Please Stop listening to the conservative talking heads who have no science credentials and actually listen to atmospheric scientists.
