Osage man arrested after high-speed chase in Worth county

NORTHWOOD – An Osage man was arrested after a high-speed chase in Worth county.

On September 3, 2019, a Worth County Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 1996 Blue Chevrolet C2500 on Pheasant Avenue just south of Highway 105. The incident turned into a high speed pursuit heading south on Pheasant Ave and east on 458th St. The vehicle then turned south on Quince Ave and ran the stop sign turning east onto 450th St. The pursuit continued east on 450th Street reaching speeds in excess of 80 MPH. The pursuit continued in rural Worth County ending with the truck being blocked in on Vine Ave just north of 420th St. The driver, who was identified as Kaleb Woodrow Sellers of Osage, Iowa, was placed under arrest and was charged with Eluding-speed 25 mph over the limit (aggravated misdemeanor), Driving while License Denied or Revoked (serious misdemeanor), Speeding (simple misdemeanor), Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability (simple misdemeanor), Fraudulent Use of Registration (simple misdemeanor), windshield and window (simple misdemeanor), and multiple counts of Fail to Obey Stop Sign (simple misdemeanor).

Sellers was transported to and booked into the Worth County Jail.
