MASON CITY – The highly-anticipated Bushel Boy tomato facility and farm will break ground in Mason City on September 11, 2019.
Bushel Boy Farms will break ground on their new Mason City facility on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, it was announced Thursday. The 50 acre facility represents a $35 million investment and is expected to bring approximately 50 full time jobs to North Iowa.
“Bushel Boy Farms is a great addition to our community,” Mason City councilman Paul Adams said Thursday. “I am thankful for all the work the EDC and City staff did to land this company in Mason City.”
Minnesota-based company Bushel Boy Farms supplies the Midwest with local, high quality fresh produce – you’ve probably already seen their products at your neighborhood HyVee. This expansion project will allow Bushel Boy the opportunity to increase production and grow their existing business partnerships, while creating jobs and positively impacting the North Iowa economy.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Wednesday, September 11th at 10 AM. Parking will be available on site, east of the Alliant Energy Operations Center on 43rd St SW. For overflow parking, please use the south side of 43rd St SW.
