DES MOINES – Gov. Kim Reynolds will host a roundtable with U.S. Drug Czar Jim Carroll, Dale Woolery, Director of the Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy, and members of the law enforcement community in Cedar Rapids on Thursday, August 29th to discuss the fight against methamphetamine use.
The event is will be held at the Cedar Rapids Police Department, 505 1st Street SW at
8:30 AM.
The Iowa Department of Public Health says meth treatment admissions rose 38 percent from 2014-17.
About the only thing keeping Mason city from totally spiraling into a inner city filled with vagrancy is it gets very cold during the winter.

half of them probably ARE the drug task force. you must be pretty naive to think youre gonna actaually get results out of mason cities corrupt leo’s? how long have you lived here? have you seen less meth heads in the last fifteen years or has it grown and just gotten out of control? it hasnt gotten better. vigilante justice could clear it up in about a week. but probably only would last about a week. cops have had since the late 80’s to stop this shit and they dont seem to understand. you have to hit the big dealers and get their sources not bust tweakers with quarter grams or low level dealers with ounces. try hitting some dboys or chicago gang members that live locally before we have a heroin epedemic in this little shithole.
What is sad is wearing a backpack isnt even worth it anymore because people just assume youre a loser meth user. at least thats how mason city works. when you leave this town it is amazing how small minded and preoccupied with stupid shit everyone is compared to anywhere else.
