State Farm awards Iowa State Patrol $40,000 to advance auto safety efforts

DES MOINES – The Iowa State Patrol has received a $40,000 grant from State Farm for two Seatbelt Convincers which will be used statewide. The seatbelt convincers simulate roughly a 5 mph to 8 mph crash for the riders. State Farm and Iowa State Patrol have worked to advance auto safety messaging across Iowa since 2009 with State Farm donating more than $150,000 in that time.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with the Iowa State Patrol. Together, we have the ability to share our message with more drivers across Iowa. On behalf of State Farm, I am honored to support their efforts to spread awareness about the importance of safe driving habits behind the wheel.” –Kelly Pargett, State Farm Public Affairs Specialist

A demonstration will take place at the District 1 Office located at 260 N.W. 48th Place, Des Moines on Tuesday, July 30th at 10:30 a.m.

That’s why Iowa has 8 deer hunting seasons – oh! those criminal minded deer get in our way once in a while – true! but with more drivers on the road every year and farmers cutting down every tree (grove around to plant more corn for ethanol (gas) production one day deer will be a indangered item. I know what your saying -but the insurance companies will sure profit if all the deer are killed off – then they say the deer have a disease and the dnr comes in and kills off hundreds – insurance companies party hardy when this happens – Sad day to be wildlife – oh! forgot he swerved his car to miss a deer -yea right! was that while texting or opening another beer- just our 2 cents but not everything is always cut and dried.

Sure state farm wants the patrol to write more tickets. Get a ticket and your rates will go up.

In a ultra violent country which has prisons for profit. Biggest arms dealer in the world too. Drugs galore. Yeah let’s make our roads safe while people are finger banging away on their smart phones while driving. Distracted drivers #1 cause of auto accidents. And insurance is nothing more than a production racket. State farm can do better. Greedy bitches.

*Protection racket that is. lol

currebtly the us is experiencing some of the lowest violent crime rates in its history. the majority of violence is happening in democrat controlled black neighborhoods perpetrated by nigs gainst nigs. sooooooo………… oh they sell the majority of drugs too. but they dont drive distracted they been hands free since bluetooth was invented and they been making everyone within thirty ft a part of their idiot phone calls. just some truth for ya.

a little late in reporting. that was yesterday

One would think that after 33 years, people would finally get it! Why is it the governments job to protect idiots.

People who think its the governments job to protect them are people who think its the governments job to do anything but wait for the people to tell them what to do. the government has no job. the government is meant to be in servitude to me and you and everyone else. youre statement seems like you approve of america the nanny state.

How so?

Hey dumbass, the last sentence, ” Why is it the governments job to protect idiots.” doesn’t sound like approval of anything. To hard to comprehend?

I dont think drivers pay their insurance company to put more cops on the road. wtf. they didnt do it out of the kindness of their evil insurance hocking hearts. What are they getting out of this? why not give some of your loyal and over charged customers their money back. pigs have a budget from the state they dont need the help. some of us have perfect driving records because we arent idiots or disrespectful of others lives while we operate our vehicles. we dont even need the damn insurance.

You do if you have a wreck!

How you going to pay me when, in a drunken stupor/texting, you run a red light and broadside my 63 corvette.
