DES MOINES – The Iowa State Patrol has received a $40,000 grant from State Farm for two Seatbelt Convincers which will be used statewide. The seatbelt convincers simulate roughly a 5 mph to 8 mph crash for the riders. State Farm and Iowa State Patrol have worked to advance auto safety messaging across Iowa since 2009 with State Farm donating more than $150,000 in that time.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with the Iowa State Patrol. Together, we have the ability to share our message with more drivers across Iowa. On behalf of State Farm, I am honored to support their efforts to spread awareness about the importance of safe driving habits behind the wheel.” –Kelly Pargett, State Farm Public Affairs Specialist
A demonstration will take place at the District 1 Office located at 260 N.W. 48th Place, Des Moines on Tuesday, July 30th at 10:30 a.m.
