Man and woman arrested after guns, illicit drugs found in rural Worth county house

RURAL WORTH COUNTY – A man and a woman were arrested after guns and illicit drugs were found in rural Worth county house.

On June 28, 2019 at about 1228 hours the Worth County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 4955 Wheelerwood Rd, the known residence Timothy Donald Abrahamson and Tricia Ann Hannegrefs. During initial entry of the residence, Abrahamson and Hannegrefs were removed from the residence and placed in handcuffs. Abrahamson and Hannegrefs were read Miranda and read a copy of the search warrant. A search of the property was conducted. Many pipes used to smoke both marijuana and methamphetamine were found in the residence. Many baggies containing a white crystal substance were found in the residence. Multiple baggies containing a green leafy substance were found in the residence. Three long guns were found in the residence, one of which was a .410 loaded bolt action shotgun. A field test indicated the green leafy substance was marijuana. A field test indicated the white crystal substance was methamphetamine. Abrahamson and Hannegrefs were arrested and transported to the Worth County Jail. Both were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine) an aggravated misdemeanor, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Offense (Marijuana) a serious misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a simple misdemeanor.

Worth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Hancock County Sheriff K-9, Iowa State Patrol, and Northwood Rescue. All individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
