Webster City police seek man on attempted murder and kidnapping charges after domestic incident

WEBSTER CITY – Webster City police are seeking a man on attempted murder and kidnapping charges and are asking for help from the public in locating the suspect.

The Webster City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a wanted person. Jeffrey Scott Johnson, age 35, is wanted for Attempted Murder, Kidnapping in the Second Degree and Felony Dominic Abuse Assault. The charges stem from an incident that occurred in Webster City.

If you have information on Johnson’s whereabouts, contact the Webster City police department at (515) 832-9166. A reward is being offered for information that leads to his arrest. Information can also be sent anonymously using Hamilton County Crimestoppers by calling the tip line at (515)832-5431. Calls to the hp line are not recorded.

Police warn, do not attempt to apprehend Johnson; contact law enforcement immediately. They also say that anyone found to be aiding Johnson to avoid capture is subject to criminal prosecution.
