RURAL WORTH COUNTY – A Kansas man may have thought Worth county was his own personal speedway as he raced through the rural area, allegedly under the influence, before he was stopped and arrested Sunday morning.
On May 26, 2019 at 12:20 AM, a deputy with the Worth County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle going 88 mph in a 55 mph zone. The stop occurred on Highway 9 just east of Mallard Avenue. The driver was identified as Kaleb Sellers of Iola, Kansas. Upon further investigation, Sellers was placed under arrest for operating while intoxicated-1st offense.
Sellers was booked into the Worth County Jail for OWI-1st, failure to have a valid license and speeding. He has since bonded out of jail and will have to appear in court.
