SPIRIT LAKE – Two possible drug dealers who are accused of endangering children are behind bars after a raid this weekend at a Spirit Lake, Iowa residence.
On Sunday, May 5th, 2019 the Spirit Lake Police Department obtained and executed a search warrant for the residence located at 1214 Jackson Avenue in Spirit Lake shortly after 1:00 P.M. During the search, over a pound of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, was found along with several different forms of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The occupants of the residence, 38-year-old Joshua Howard and 30-year-old Amanda Howard, were arrested and booked into the Dickinson County Jail on the following charges:
Two Counts of Possession of Controlled Substance with intent to deliver a schedule I Drug: Class C Felony
Possession of Controlled Substance with intent to deliver to wit: marijuana: Class D Felony
Two Counts of Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp: Class D Felony
Prohibited Acts: Aggravated Misdemeanor
Three counts of Child Endangerment: Aggravated Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Simple Misdemeanor
Looks like a lot of their stuff is what would be considered medical marijuana or THC edibles.

Somehow the weed being in the house puts the kids in danger, you know how it’s ok to have all the whiskey wine and beer you want in the same house with your children, because alcohol is shown to destroy lives and is socially acceptable to the Christian Masse’s. What I didn’t see in the article is where it mentions any children being involved, whether there were any in the 1214 Jackson Avenue residence.
Hell ya ruon lives and tear a family apart for something that’s legal in half the country, meanwhile I’m sure spirit lakes meth heads and illegal immigrants feel safe now with the evil pot guy locked up. This is not justice. These people harmed nobody. This craps got to stop. Leo need to be worrying about domestic abuse and drugs maybe assault and murder or drunk driving. What a waste of time and money. The cops who participated really need to think about it and stop upholding laws that aren’t important at all. Dumb.
