Possible drug dealers who allegedly endangered children busted in Spirit Lake

SPIRIT LAKE – Two possible drug dealers who are accused of endangering children are behind bars after a raid this weekend at a Spirit Lake, Iowa residence.

On Sunday, May 5th, 2019 the Spirit Lake Police Department obtained and executed a search warrant for the residence located at 1214 Jackson Avenue in Spirit Lake shortly after 1:00 P.M. During the search, over a pound of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, was found along with several different forms of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The occupants of the residence, 38-year-old Joshua Howard and 30-year-old Amanda Howard, were arrested and booked into the Dickinson County Jail on the following charges:

Two Counts of Possession of Controlled Substance with intent to deliver a schedule I Drug: Class C Felony

Possession of Controlled Substance with intent to deliver to wit: marijuana: Class D Felony

Two Counts of Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp: Class D Felony

Prohibited Acts: Aggravated Misdemeanor

Three counts of Child Endangerment: Aggravated Misdemeanor

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Simple Misdemeanor
