HANSELL, IOWA – Mason City police and other local law enforcement agencies banded together to nab two suspected, armed ice meth dealers in a small Northern Iowa town this weekend.
On Friday, May 3, 2019 drug investigators with the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department who were being assisted by the Clear Lake Police Department, Franklin County Sheriffs Department, Mason City Police Department, North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force and Iowa Division Of Narcotics Enforcement executed search warrants at 213 2nd St. and 110 Walnut St. – both in Hansell, Iowa. Based on the ongoing investigation David Andrew Fielding, Age 40 of Hansell and Martin Rodriquez, Age 56 of Hampton were arrested. A multiple pounds of Ice Methamphetamine and Firearms were recovered. The estimated street value of the methamphetamine is estimated at more than $60,000.
Both Fielding and Rodriguez were taken to Franklin County Jail where they are being held. Fielding was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver a Class B Felony and Violation of Drug Tax Stamp a Class D felony.
Rodriguez was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver a Class B Felony, Violation of Drug Tax Stamp a Class D felony and Possession of a Firearm as a prior Federal Drug Felon a Class D felony.
