WEST DES MOINES – A male teenager has been arrested for robbery and first-degree murder after he allegedly may have gunned down a woman near a West Des Moines shopping center.
Police were called around 11:42 PM April 5, 2019. First responders were sent to the area of S. 64th Street and Coachlight Drive in West Des Moines when someone driving through the area found an adult female lying in the road. While responding to the scene, officials received another call reporting shots had been fired in the area. The patient was transported by ambulance to a hospital where she later died. Police have identified the victim as Sakira Kezia Tamara Bonner, an 18 year old woman from Des Moines.
On Monday, the West Des Moines Police Department announced an arrest made in connection with the April 5, 2019 homicide of Sakira Bonner. Eliazar Montoya Gama, a 17 year old from Des Moines, was arrested and charged with one count of Murder 1st Degree and one count of Robbery 1st Degree.
The investigation identified Gama as a person of interest. He was later located by Des Moines police. West Des Moines detectives interviewed Gama and filed the charges. Gama was booked at the West Des Moines Police Department and is currently being held at the Dallas County Jail.
This is an ongoing investigation and police say further arrests may be imminent.
Later Tuesday, West Des Moines police reported an additional arrest in their investigation of Sakira Bonner’s death. Late Monday night detectives arrested 20 year old Johndarius Lewis of Des Moines. He was charged with one count of Murder 1st Degree and one count Robbery 1st Degree. He was booked at the West Des Moines Police Department and is currently being held at the Dallas County Jail.

If this is the POS that killed the young lady, he should be put out of societies misery, an hour after being found guilty. Society should not continue to support these slugs.
