DES MOINES – Former DHS employee charged with three counts of perjury in Cerro Gordo county after lying about status of children whose case she was assigned to and who were removed from their parents.
On April 8th, 2019, Chelsie Gray, a former Social Work II Case Manager with the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) was arrested and charged in Cerro Gordo County with three counts of Perjury under Iowa Code 720.2. Gray’s arrest is related to testimony she provided in Cerro Gordo County in December of 2017. The investigation was completed by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and Hancock County Attorney’s Office is acting as special prosecutor in this matter at the request of the Cerro Gordo County Attorney’s Office.
