MASON CITY – A Mason City man suffered multiple stab wounds in an apparent attack Friday evening.
Mason City police say that on March 22, 2019 at 9:15 pm, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of North Federal on a report of a stabbing. At this area, police discovered 34-year-old Benny Montgomery of Mason City with multiple stab wounds. Montgomery was transported to North Iowa Mercy One by Mason City Fire Department and admitted. He remains in critical condition.
The Mason City Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident, they said Saturday. If anyone has any information regarding the incident they are urged to call 641-421-3636. Mason City Police believe this is an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the citizens.

Nope someone else already had, it’s not illegal to walk around with a knife, woulda been if he concealed it without a permit. In a normal town I wouldn’t even worry about it, just a guy walkin his cleaver. Of course in mc it’s meth related it needs to be checked out. Of course the night after a stabbing (which the police say not to be concerned about lol dumb) they fail to find the man wandering with a large knife. Guys we have a violent african out here in town that isn’t scared to stab another person, he’s more used to stabbing then he was last week the police say it’s not dangerous, let’s go ahead and think for ourselves here, a violent black man is on the loose, he’s armed and willing to stab someone, who knows his mental state his history or anything? It’s impossible for the pd to say it’s not a threat to the community, I’m glad they have so much confidence in a mentally ill gang member or drug dealer or whatever to not hurt someone innocent after hurting a useless nig like Bennie. I do not and neither should anyone else. Stay away from the black people around here, they are drug dealers pimps thiefs liars users and they don’t hesitate to commit violent acts. It’d be better if as a community we made them feel unwanted unwelcome and hated. We need to stand up against the flood of trash people that make our town unsafe, we were better off before all these useless monkeys came to town. Unless you all prefer tolerance and heroin killing your children, then I guess black people are cool. Otherwise they are destroying the community and they need be stopped. They are all connected and involved and they are all bad, don’t be fooled by them. Don’t trust them don’t interact with them don’t help them. If you’re a parent and you’re not teaching your kids to avoid black people especially you with daughters You’re part of the problem. The best way to stop this is to help children understand that black people aren’t as good as the white people and you lower yourself by tolerating them at all.
