Multiple search warrants executed at Fort Dodge houses lead to seizure of illegal drugs, gun and large sum of cash

FORT DODGE – Multiple search warrants were executed Thursday at Fort Dodge houses, leading to seizure of illegal drugs, gun, a large sum of cash, and promises of arrests.

On Thursday, March 14th, 2019, officers with the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Dodge Police Department Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), along with members of the Iowa State Patrol Tactical (TACT) Team, executed numerous search warrants at several residences throughout the Fort Dodge area. The Special Response Teams executed search warrants at the residences of 634 N 23rd St, 917 11th Ave SW, 523 N 11th St, and 1422 5th Ave S, in reference to an ongoing narcotics investigation conducted by the Webster County Drug Task Force.

Through the execution of the previously mentioned search warrants, officers located and seized numerous different types of narcotics, a firearm, large sums of U.S. Currency, electronic devices, and numerous other items related to the distribution of illegal narcotics from the residences.

Due to the complexity and number of individuals involved in this investigation, along with those cooperating with the investigation, further consulting is required before arrests are made. Authorities say numerous arrests will be made in the future in reference to this investigation.

Officers with the Webster County Drug Task were assisted in this investigation and execution of the previously mentioned search warrants by members of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Iowa Division of Narcotic Enforcement (DNE), North Central Iowa Drug Task Force (NCIDTF), Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department (CGSD), Mason City Police Department (MCPD), Iowa State Patrol (ISP), Fort Dodge Fire Department (FDFD), and numerous other agencies.

The Webster County Drug Task Force is made up of members of the Fort Dodge Police Department (FDPD), Webster County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), Iowa Division of Narcotic Enforcement (DNE), and the Webster County Attorney’s Office.
