Convicted Mason City domestic abuser nabbed at work on warrant after violent incident

MASON CITY – A convicted Mason City domestic abuser who served prison time for his past crimes was nabbed at his job at a chicken restaurant on a warrant after another alleged violent incident.

Keith David Walker, age 33, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant at Buffalo Wild Wings on Sunday afternoon for serious assault. The warrant was issued following a disturbance call to a residence in the 1000 block of North Federal Avenue on February 27, 2019, at 8:02 PM. The complaint states that Walker hit and slapped the female victim. He also strangled her. The victim had red marks on her neck and bruising around her eye. Walker was taken into custody at Buffalo Wild Wings, which is his place of employment.

Walker remains in custody at the Cerro Gordo County Jail at this time, awaiting a hearing set for March 14.

Walker was sent to prison in 2017 for domestic abuse after an incident in Mason City that happened in 2016. Prior to being sent to a Fort Dodge prison, records show he was sent to the Beje Clark halfway house.
