Ernst votes to protect lives of children born after failed abortions

Senator Joni Ernst
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), a longtime and outspoken pro-life advocate, on Monday voted in support of legislation to protect the lives of children born-alive after a failed abortion. While Senator Ernst voted in support of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, ultimately Democrats forced it to fail.

“Today, we had the opportunity to categorically reject infanticide. I am heartbroken to find that, instead, partisanship prevailed. We face a moral crisis when the United States Senate, the world’s greatest deliberative body, refuses to acknowledge the repugnancy and savagery of infanticide. We must do better. I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that our laws respect the human dignity of all persons, especially our most vulnerable babies and children,” said Senator Joni Ernst.

Senator Ernst is an original cosponsor of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. This bill requires health care practitioners to provide the same degree of care to a baby who survives an abortion as they would any child born naturally premature at the same age.

While legislation from 2002, known as the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act (BAIPA), recognizes and defines any child who has survived a botched abortion as a full person under the law, these protections are only partially effective without concrete federal enforcement measures. Specifically, BAIPA lacks concrete ways to hold abortionists accountable for killing, harvesting organs, or denying medical care to infants born alive. Additionally, reports show that some abortion providers still do not regard babies born alive during abortions as persons and therefore do not provide them with the types of care that would be provided to infants who are spontaneously born prematurely.

President Donald J. Trump sounded off on the failure of the legislation, saying, “Senate Democrats just voted against legislation to prevent the killing of newborn infant children. The Democrat position on abortion is now so extreme that they don’t mind executing babies AFTER birth….This will be remembered as one of the most shocking votes in the history of Congress. If there is one thing we should all agree on, it’s protecting the lives of innocent babies.”

If you take GOD (moral values) out of the equation then you can get away with most anything (including) murder of young children as the Nazi propaganda machine did during world war 2 – Infro wars -weather you agree or not has been telling you since 9/11 that foreign powers such as the NWO and the U.N trying has been trying to undermine (destroy) America. The former POS U.N. imposter president was not a true American and just a puppet of these socialist corrupt fake do gooders (evil) forces. If it were not for Trump America would be over run by these criminals. Yes ! bury your head because you don’t want to believe it exists. (snowflakes)

Does anyone hear speak moron that can translate this?

That’s like saying – 1 in 100,000 murders that 1 (ONE) person was framed (not guilty) and then throw away the death penalty for all murderers like the puke and proclaimed socialist party have accomplished. Time for justice to the evil doers ! BY the way more than a few murderers waiting on death row for over 10 years.

They ramble on about saving children to try to take away Second Amendment rights, but their stance on murdering the very young shows that their arguments about guns and children are hollow, and that their only objective is to disarm Americans. EVERY person who votes for a pro-abortion politician is complicit in the murders of over 60 million babies since 1973…

Curious what your stance is when a medical professional informs a mother her pregnancy isn’t viable and carrying the fetus creates a health risk for the mother. Abortion still isn’t ok??

That is a different circumstance. If the mothers life is threatened it changes the outcome. The baby should be aborted. However, that happens very rarely. I also agree that in cases of rape it is a different case, but again, most abortions are caused by women to lazy to take birth control or abstain from sex. That is completely different than a medical reason.

I sure wouldn’t say that non-viable pregnancies are rare. They are actually fairly common.

Seems like the best way to approach this issue of abortion is for the government (and you bible thumpers) to get completely out of trying to legislate our health care choices.

Good one, you dumb old coot. Blame it on the women and absolve men of any responsibility for unwanted pregnancies. Your 18th century mind would be rather humorous if it wasn’t so pathetic.

squeal

What a world.
