CHICAGO – Shamed faker Jussie Smollett has been axed from his acting job on the set of the 20th Century Fox TV show ‘Empire’ after duping lefties into believing his far-fetched, concocted story about men in MAGA hats attacking him in downtown Chicago.

Executive producers of the ‘Empire’ TV show at 20th Century Fox, say Jussie Smollett’s character “Jamal” is no more and has been written-out from the rest of the season.  A new statement from “Empire” Executive Producers Lee Daniels, Danny Strong, Brett Mahoney, Brian Grazer, Sanaa Hamri, Francie Calfo and Dennis Hammer says:

“The events of the past few weeks have been incredibly emotional for all of us.

Jussie has been an important member of our EMPIRE family for the past five years and we care about him deeply. While these allegations are very disturbing, we are placing our trust in the legal system as the process plays out.

We are also aware of the effects of this process on the cast and crew members who work on our show and to avoid further disruption on set, we have decided to remove the role of ‘Jamal’ from the final two episodes of the season.”

It appears Smollett’s plan to somehow parlay his fictitious tragedy into a salary raise has backfired after the revelation of his character being axed from ‘Empire’.

Just hours before they actually announced actions being taken against Smollet, but after the explosive news conference held by Chicago police in which authorities made no bones about how reckless and dastardly Smollet’s fake attack was, 20th Century Fox was still waffling about what to do with Smollett, tweeting Thursday, “We understand the seriousness of this matter and we respect the legal process. We are evaluating the situation and we are considering our options.”

Reportedly, prior to being fired, Smollett apologized to the ‘Empire’ cast and allegedly maintained his innocence in the matter.
