MASON CITY – Mason City’s Georgia Hanford Park sledding hill is now open.
Sledders are able to use the hill that is located in the southeast corner of Georgia Hanford Park, volunteer Ozzie Ohl reminded Wednesday.
Parking is available along South Georgia.
The sledding hill was increased in height this past year and is slightly longer than 250 feet. This sledding hill is ideal for elementary and middle school kids because there is a longer walking distance to get back to the sledding hill.
Lights are on a timer near the the hill and can be turned on.
The lights can be turned on at dusk and automatically turn off at 9 p.m.
