MASON CITY – Police in Mason City are asking for clues on the location of a teen missing for weeks that may have just been spotted in town.

Tala Rose Schaal was reported as a missing person by her family on October 10th and was last seen at her home in Mason City. Tala is a white 15 year old female, 5’5” and about 130 pounds. She often changes her hair color and styles.

The department released a notification about Schaal on our social media accounts on November 15th and received some tips that have been followed up on. None of the leads have led to Schaal being located by law enforcement.

It is still believed that Schaal is in the North Iowa area and due to her young age is being harbored by others.

Anyone with information about Schaal’s whereabouts should contact the dispatch center at 641.421.3000 or 911 if you have information of her immediate location.

I saw a girl who looks like her walking west on 14th st. N.W. last Friday. She came up 14th, went south on Jefferson to the 1st alley then went north through the alley. We have a lot of people who don’t want to be seen going down the alley’s.
