Former president George H.W. Bush has passed away; flags to fly at half-staff

@GeorgeHWBush

George H.W. Bush, 41st president of the united States, has passed away.

Current president Donald J. Trump said, “President George H.W. Bush led a long, successful and beautiful life. Whenever I was with him I saw his absolute joy for life and true pride in his family. His accomplishments were great from beginning to end. He was a truly wonderful man and will be missed by all!

Gov. Kim Reynolds released the following statement Saturday on the passing of George HW Bush:

“America lost a great leader with the passing of George HW Bush. A man whose legacy is one of service, statesmanship and values. Last night, we didn’t just lose a patriot who dedicated his life to serving America, but also a loving husband, father and grandfather who now leaves behind a grieving family. Our hearts and our prayers continue to go out to the Bush family. It is my hope that as a nation, we will remember his legacy and as leaders in public service, we will work to meet the standard he set for many years to come.”

George H.W. Bush was 94 when he died. He played baseball at Yale and served in the armed forces.  He was president when American forces fought Iraq in 1991 and entered Kuwait.  He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama.

His wife, Barbara Bush, died earlier this year.

Governor Reynolds ordered flags at half-staff effective immediately and continuing for 30 days to honor former President George HW Bush.

True American.

Yes pardon me – Was it him or his son who invaded Iraq – which we are still losing American lives ? I think it was his alky son who said 3 days after the invasion – Remember ? MISSION ACOMPLISHED !

During his tenure – I believe the kids/parents that were killed at Waco by our government would come back to haunt these killers. Then again Ruby Ridge was a shame also.

That was under Clinton. Get ir right or STFU.

Never agreed with his policies, but he was an honorable man and served our country well. Rest in peace George.

The prolonged Iraq Iran war is exactly what we wanted and is what we should have continued to support. Them killing each other was the goal and should always be the goal !!

Good, warmongers deserve worse.

Without Reagan there would have been no Bush 41 !!
He was and still is an American Hero which is better than being President anyways !! RIP

Compassionate Conservatism was what gave way to the RINO Republicans of today. Bush 41 True America Hero !! Lost his way as Conservatism is compassionate by itself. It allows those who are more fortunate to be able to help others without government forcing it down our throats.

Before Bush was elected president in 1989, he was vice president in the Reagan administration. Throughout the 1980s, this administration was responsible for prolonging the Iran-Iraq War and actively supported both sides. While the US ostensibly supported Saddam Hussein’s Iraq against Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini’s Shia theocracy, behind closed doors they were working hand-in-glove with Israel to supply spare parts and arms to Iran. This led to the infamous Iran-Contra affair that almost toppled Ronald Reagan.

A good man. A fair President. An American patriot all the way.

You just surprised me.

You just surprised me. I didn’t always agree with him but he felt all Americans were worthy of respect. Reminded me of my father.

I didn’t agree with him all the time either. Especially with his no new taxes speech and then putting in new taxes. It was the reason I voted for Clinton.

What a crock! Anybody who disagreed with you used to get the “you’re a moron” treatment.

Well, you are a moron. All the time 24/7.
