MASON CITY – CENT Credit Union’s annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner for Seniors proved very successful this year, with more than 700 meals served.

CENT, along with sponsors Financial Freedom Controls, Cozy Van, Knights of Columbus, and D&D Signs sponsored the event this year, giving seniors a chance to have a hot meal and fellowship on a cold day.

Several volunteers from the community helped make sure this event was a success, including 7 students and 2 teachers from Mason City High School’s iJAG (Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates) class, who each spent more than three hours serving guests, bussing tables, and visiting with seniors who attended.

The event was held from 11am – 2pm at The Columbia Club (former KC Hall) in Mason City on Sunday, November 18th.
