MASON CITY – A Mason City man died after he was hit by a truck driven by a man with a suspended license.
On Nov 7, 2018, at 10:47 PM, 43-year-old Jason Garcia was struck and injured while walking in / on the 1700 block of South Eisenhower ave, in Mason City. Garcia was transported to Mercy Medical Center by Mason City Fire Department personnel. Mercy Medical staff treated Garcia before he was life-flighted to Mayo Hospital. On Saturday, November 10, 2018, Garcia passed away as a result of the injuries sustained from the collision.
The driver of the vehicle – described by police as a ‘truck’ – was 45-year-old Jay Paulsen of Mason City. He was uninjured in the collision. He has now been charged with Driving Under Suspension. The collision is still under investigation.
Garcia was an abusive, drug addicted-dealing, dog-fighting, thieving, lying, criminal piece of shit his whole life. The world just got better without him. Hope he doesn’t rot the ground he’s dumped in. The driver who hit him deserves a metal, but it sounds like he was a quality citizen also—I guess our community gets rid of two pieces of trash for the price of one!
This goes on all over town. They lose their license because they don’t pay fines and continue to drive without a license and insurance and threaten the honest people who drive legally. We have two of them right here in the neighborhood. They have been turned in multiple times by neighbors and nothing gets done.

Actually in most States non active felon’s can vote, Iowa is like one of two states that don’t allow a felon to vote. BUT guess what? . . . In Iowa a felon can get gun rights back. Yep! Because that vote is mote dangerous then that gun . . . Especially to the politicians.
