North Iowa man stopped by police and caught with meth

MASON CITY – A North Iowa man with a history of felonious behavior was stopped by Mason City police and caught with meth this weekend.

Mason City police encountered 28-year-old Harold Victory Stinnett, Jr., last known address of Clear Lake, this weekend operating a vehicle in town. Stinnett was driving with a suspended license, police soon discovered, and not wearing a seatbelt. Upon further investigation, the illegal drug methamphetamine was found.

Stinnett was arrested and charged with conspiring to deliver meth, possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed after midnight on November 2 and remains held, awaiting an appearance in court.

Stinnett has been free on bond since July 5, when he was released from jail after posting cash bond in connection to a felony first-degree theft charge. He is set to face a jury trial later this month.

Stinnett was convicted (pled guilty) to a felony burglary charge back in 2012 after Mason City police took him in.  He was sent to prison that year.
