Mason City man gets deferred judgement for dealing drugs at troubled residential facility

FAYETTE, IOWA – A Mason City man busted for dealing drugs at a troubled Northern Iowa residential facility and has been given a deferred judgement.

On October 22, 2017, at approximately 12:30 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a suspicious individual who was giving away a controlled substance at Prairie View Residential Facility. Fayette County Deputies arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. After multiple interviews and seizure of prescription drugs, David Allen Kenyon, age 74 of Mason City, was arrested for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Class C Felony.

Just days ago, Kenyon was given a deferred judgement in the case and put on probation.  He also got a suspended fine and must pay $305.50 in court fees and charges.
