IOWA CITY – Iowa steamrolled over Wisconsin 88-61 for their 5th consecutive win Sunday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Former Mason City Mohawk Mackenzie Meyer scored 9 points on 2-of-7 shooting. She also contributed 3 rebounds and 6 assists.
Four Hawkeyes scored in double figures. They include: Megan Gustafson (25), Alexis Sevillian (19), Kathleen Doyle (10), and Hannah Stewart (10).
Sophomore Kathleen Doyle tied a career high with four steals.
Freshman Alexis Sevillian tied her career high with five three-pointers made.
Iowa (21-6) outscored Wisconsin (9-19) 46-26 in the paint. The Hawkeyes led 45-23 at the half. Iowa’s biggest lead was 35 points; Wisconsin never led in the game.
Iowa next plays at Rutgers on Wednesday, February 21.
