CLEAR LAKE – You will have to get your ice cream fix elsewhere in Clear Lake after the Dairy Queen restaurant closes this weekend.
NIT has gotten word the Clear Lake Dairy Queen will, indeed, shut its doors Saturday or Sunday this coming weekend. NIT is told that employees at the store have been told they can possibly work at the Mason City restaurant, which has the same owners.
A great alternative for ice cream fans is the Viking Inn in Ventura. They serve massive ice cream cones and other treats at prices comparable to Dairy Queen.
The Mason City had a bunch of goof offs as employees when we were in there. They were more concerned on the traffic and cars and friends passing by. In the mean time the tables were not fit to sit at and the floor need desperate sweeping. Won’t go back.
Is Mason City and Clear Lake owned by the same person? DQ in Clear Lake should move down yown Clear Lake
How many ice cream cones are you gonna sell in the winter in a downtown clear lake location? You go for it !
The emplyees coming over to the Mason City store?
Going to be an improvement because the service can’t get much slower and the place can’t get much more dirtier than it already is.
Yeah, go see David at the Viking!! He and his crew are awesome!
Impossible to find decent employees. they gave up.
Just plain bad management, looses customers. They had terrible service
Maybe someone could combine a Dry Cleaners and a Dairy Queen?
