Lottery for 35 lucky deer hunters to be conducted at Lime Creek Conservation Area

MASON CITY – A few lucky bow hunters with their sights set on a juicy deer will get their shot at stalking the Lime Creek Nature Center for one via a lottery.

Effective for the 2017-18 archery deer hunting season, the Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board will conduct a lottery for the 35 annual archery permits at the Lime Creek Conservation Area.

On Monday August 21, 2017 at 8:00 AM, lottery application forms will be available. Lottery applications may be picked up at the conservation office or printed from Lime Creek’s website, here.

Application forms will be accepted until September 1, 2017 at 3:00 PM. Forms can be returned to the Lime Creek office in person or mailed to 3501 Lime Creek Road, Mason City, IA. 50401; by email to mermer@co.cerro-gordo.ia.us; or faxed to 641-423-1566.

The archery deer hunting lottery will be held Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 8:00 AM. in the Lime Creek Nature Center Auditorium. The public is invited to attend the scheduled lottery event. For more details, call 641-423-5309.
