HARDIN COUNTY – An Ankeny man faces a felony charge of sexual abuse after he allegedly groped a woman during a float on the Iowa River.
Travis Eugene Evans, age 27 of Ankeny, Iowa, is accused of third-degree sexual abuse after an incident on July 8, 2017 in Hardin county on the Iowa River. The Iowa Falls Times-Citizen reports that Evans was on the river on a float or tube when he grabbed the woman’s “behind” and then reached around and grabbed her groin area. Apparently, authorities were called and he was arrested and charged with the felony sex abuse crime that same day.
Evans, who lists himself on social media as a retirement specialist at a bank, was released from the Hardin county jail the next day. He will face a hearing on July 21 in Hardin county court.
He did no harm She more then likely enjoyed it.

None of us were there and have NO idea what the circumstances were, including you. I don’t believe grabbing a person’s ass constitutes sexual abuse (adult to adult). That is just ridiculous. If i was on a river and some guy only grabbed my wife’s butt she and i would both start laughing. If he continued after being told to stop that is a different story…..or if he grabbed her in the front, that is also a different story.
Next time I am at a waterpark or at a bar or concert…and some drunk woman grabs my ass I will remember your response, call the cops, and have the woman charged with 3rd degree sexual assault for having drinks and grabbing my ass. Give me a break. Go back to your couch and turn The Waltons back on.

Obviously, none of us were there and don’t know the circumstances surrounding what happened. None-the-less, this guy was an idiot when he grabbed her in her “groin” area if in fact that is what he did. The grabbing of the ass you can excuse…… It is just sad that he can be charged with 3rd degree sexual abuse for what he did. That charge will now be with him the rest of his life even if he pleads guilty to a reduced charge. He was stupid for doing what he did and the law is stupid with the type of charge that resulted in this case.
John you are an ass for suggesting that ass grabbing is ok. You should grab both your ears and jerk your head out of your ass before you are accused of promoting sexual assault.
